Top of the Tower

Dialga makes its home at the top of the tower, ready to challenge any Pokemon who dares come here.

He was alone. Not only was he alone, but he was in one of the most dangerous places known to Pokemon. But it wasn't like he didn't intend to come here, he wanted the treasure and rewards that could be found here, in Temporal Tower. Wes was a young Zangoose, but a strong one. He knew several moves that had taken down the Pokemon who challenged him on the way up. He scampered around the top of the tower, it was clearly very old and eroded, and he wondered how it still stood. Oh well, he thought. The treasure was no where to be found. Wes figured that Dialga had hidden someone, and he could only get even the slightest portion of it by challenging and beating the rare Pokemon. "Dialga!" Wes screeched. "I challenge you!" The Zangoose stood there in wait, he knew a Pokemon as strong as this would never turn down the chance to beat a seemingly-weak Pokemon. Well here he was, ready to fight Dialga.

controller of time...

The large blue and white pokemon was sleeping, but he lifted his head when he heard the voice of a Pokemon far smaller than himself. His gleaming red eyes scanned the area. He then looked upon a Zangoose that stood in front of him. He laughed haughtily.

"YOU ACTUALLY THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME? DIALGA, CONTROLLER OF TIME? YOU, MY FRIEND, HAVE LOST ALL SANITY IF YOU THINK YOU EVEN HAVE A MERE CHANCE AGAINST ME. . ."

His voice bellowed, rumbling the tower slightly. A smug smile crossed his expression and he pushed himself off the ground with his front feet and threw his head back in a roar.

"WE BEGIN. . .NOW!"

The humongous Pokemon stalked forward then attempted to slash the young and feeble zangoose with Dragon Claw. He knew that Zangoose were known for their great speed and their raking claws, but he would not let that stop him.

Wes didn't know many moves, but the moves he did know were very powerful, or so he was told. Dialga's massive claw scratched him, and the Zangoose couldn't leap backwards quick enough to avoid pain. Although he dodged the heat of the attack, he fell down onto the ground in pain. The desire for glory and treasure fueled him, and he attacked with all his might. Close Combat was the move he chose, it was a more advanced move he had learned. He pummelled the large Pokemon angrily, raking his long, sharp claws down Dialga's neck as he leaped up to scratch it. He was a blur of red and white, scratching and pummelling all over Dialga's body, but he slowed down as the pain he felt from Dialga's last move continued to slow him and he became tired from this move.

Dialga winced in pain as the Zangoose slashed at him. He underestimated this pokemon that was so puny compared to him. He swung his massive head back and was readying the move Roar of Time. The strongest move Dialga could possess. The Zangoose would be lucky if this attack happened to miss. He unleashed the move in a blur of purple and blue, his roar echoing throughout Temporal Tower and more than likely worsening the tower's condition. This move would waste much of his energy, and if the wretched Zangoose managed to dodge his attack, he would be one lucky pokemon. After using this move, Dialga would be quite weak.

The Zangoose was flung backwards by the force of Dialga's move. His ears felt ready to explode, and he instinctively used the move he was planning on using. Wes dug one claw into the hard floor of Temporal Tower, and used a different 'hand' to dig a hole. He was using the move Dig, it was perfect for this kind of situation. After Dialga used Roar of Time, it would have to recharge, leaving Wes time to strike. He tunnelled into Temporal Tower, and then back upward right under Dialga's belly. By now he had gained momentum, and when he hit the surface, he shot upward and his claws hit Dialga's belly with an upward spiraling motion. His ears were still ringing from his enemy's attack, and he fell down after a few moments of clawing at Dialga. Right now he was vulnerable. He struggled feebily to get back on his feet.

Dialga had the breath knocked out of him and it all flew out of his mouth in a fairly loud woosh sound. After he slightly recovered from the blow, he smiled smugly and used Slam, dropping himself onto the Zangoose, squashing it into a pulp. Unless, some miracle had occured and the Zangoose took refuge in his previously dug hole. Nevertheless, Dialga slowly stood and turned, checking for the Zangoose that he had hopefully vanquished. Dialga was very close to fainting and losing, but he wouldn't give up just yet . . .

Wes felt as if he was about to die right now, he was clearly close to fainting. Pain seared through his body as Dialga slammed him. He staggered to his feet, panting. "I won't give up just yet!" he muttered. Now he would use Close Combat. This could be the last move he used in this battle, so he needed to use his strongest. His body protested as he gathered the energy to use the move. Finally, he used Close Combat. Once more, a flurry of claws and fur was all over Dialga's body, slashing at it and pummelling it with all the might Wes possessed. Now the Zangoose possessed a new energy. He remembered the treasure he would get if he defeated Dialga. With this new found energy, he attacked just a little harder.

Dialga winced in pain as the white and red pokemon slashed at him all over. He then roared in pain and yelled;

"I WILL NOT LOSE! DON'T THINK YOU ARE GOING TO WIN SO EASILY."

The blue and silver pokemon decided he wouldn't waste another Roar of Time when the Zangoose was so close to fainting. He, instead, used Hyper Beam. That may have still been a waste but, Roar of Time was far more powerful than Hyper Beam. He began charging the move, a golden-colored ball was forming at his mouth and once it was at its max capacity, he shot out the beam with as much strength as he could muster and waited for the outcome of the move.

The Zangoose tried to leap out of the way, but the move came too fast. It hit him hard, flinging him backwards as he skidded across the ground. He tried to get up but couldn't, and felt himself fainting. He was becoming dizzy and then Wes finally fainted. He lay there on the ground of Temporal Tower, motionless except for the rise and fall of his chest.

A small shape crawled out from behind a rock. It was Guildmaster Weedle, he had secretly been watching the battle the entire time. He had believed Wes would win the battle against Dialga, but that had not happened, and it was time to show Dialga what the Weedle Guild was really made of. "You dare hurt a member of the Weedle Guild?" the Guildmaster screeched. "You will pay! YOOM-TAH!" Temporal Tower almost exploded with the force of the attack, it was almost like a volcano erupting. The whole tower shook, and a blast of energy shot from Weedle's body straight at Dialga.
